Addiction and the holiday season
How many of us have issues with mind altering substances? How many of us have difficulties during the holidays? Dealing with family is difficult and dealing with the issue of addiction is especially difficult during the holiday season. I was brought up where drinking was just part of the socialization of Christmas and every other holiday.
I am especially thankful for a fun-filled holiday season this year without drinking. My family is proud of me and I am proud of myself.
If you struggle with chemical dependency espesially during these times talk to someone, go to a meeting, don’t bottle up all the hurts and hang-ups that you have.
